As a wedding photographer in the St. Cloud area, I get to be a part of many different weddings.  This was my first outdoor, backyard wedding and it was gorgeous!  It did rain during the formal photographs before the wedding ceremony but Sone, Derek and their entire wedding party were so easy going and relaxed.  We stepped into the house when we needed to and then went outside when the rain let up.  It offered us a great opportunity to use their umbrella’s and made for fun photos.  Then, right before the service the rain let up so that during their ceremony it was nice cloud cover (not too hot and not too sunny for photos).  After that, it was sunny and fun!  Perfect from my point of view!

The bridal party had colorful umbrella’s which made for great photographs but also helped keep them dry!

Sone wanted a rap song during their dance.  The bridesmaids opted for a personalized rendition of “Ice Ice Baby” with new lyrics customized for Sone and Derek!

I think his ankles were triple jointed.  He could turn them almost completely around!

We photographed Michelle and Andrew’s wedding on May 22nd.  They are a wonderful couple who were married right here in Sartell at Mulligan’s.  Having been the wedding photographer in the past for couples at Mulligan’s we knew that they were going to have a beautiful setting and wonderful food.  And Mulligan’s didn’t disappoint.  Michelle and Andrew had their sister and brother as attendants and they were married in a beautiful outdoor service.  The only challenge of the day was the wind.  The wind was so strong before the service that it picked up a few of the guests chairs and carried them away!  Thanks for having us as a part of your day!

Meet Connor.  He is a phenomenal drummer in the Minneapolis area.  In May he contacted me regarding photography for his MySpace page and professional career.  His request was different than the wedding photography and senior photography that we typically do but I jumped on the chance to do something different and was up for the challenge!  We met in Minneapolis in an area familiar to me where I worked to capture a more artistic feel with the surroundings.  I’m looking forward to hearing him play soon!

Jenn and Justin’s wedding on May 15th was every wedding photographers dream!  Usually we photograph weddings in the St. Cloud and Central Minnesota region but for this wedding we went to Sioux City, IA and had a fantastic day!  There was tons of detail to the wedding and always something to photograph.  The wedding party was fantastic fun and Jenn and Justin are very photogenic.

Most of my blogs contain around 10 photos of the day or a particular photo shoot but I am including 36 photos and it was hard for me to narrow it down to this!  As always, we appreciate your comments and would love to hear which photos you like and why!

One of the services that we have offered the past two wedding seasons is our Story Movies.  Along with pictures and interview video of the bride and groom, we tell the story of your relationship from the first meeting to including photos of your wedding day.  These movies are typically shown some point right before or right your dinner.

Peter and I are doing the wedding photography for Katie and Brian this coming July.  Two weeks ago we had an engagement session and I couldn’t be happier.  Katie and Brian just shine in the camera!  I am so happy they choose us as their wedding photographer.  I’m definitely looking forward to July!

Jenn and Justin came up all the way from Sergeant Bluff, IA last week for a day of video taping, photographing and fun.  Jenn is my dear cousin and a wonderful woman.  I never realized just how truly beautiful she is inside and out.  Yes, I’ve always known how beautiful she is but she just shines for the camera!  Justin is handsome and magnificent and I’m happy to have him as my new cousin-in-law this May 15th.  I see many more fun times together in our future!

Stephanie and Adam were married this past September.  They planned a beautiful outdoor wedding at a golf course in Lakeville, MN.  One word describes their day- WET!  But I also think it was great fun.  They were willing to try poses indoors and out.  We had to be a little creative with our settings but it worked.  They met each other under an awning outside and they even ventured out in the rain for a few quick shots.  Luckily, the rain let up for about 20 minutes.  We took the whole party outside and were able to get some shots by the columns where they were to be married.  To top it off, during the father/daughter dance Stephanie’s Dad learned the Souja Boy dance and entertained the crowd!

This past September 26th I photographed Elizabeth and Todd’s wedding.  Elizabeth is the sister of a former student of mine, Chris, who I taught at the College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University.  I’ll will never forget their day.  They were truly blessed with the PERFECT weather and they were so nice, along with their bridal party.  All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen and parents made me feel right at home.  When I came home that night i wasn’t the slightest bit tired but energized!  Thanks Elizabeth and Todd!

This past October Amie and Paul were married early on a Saturday morning at the St. Paul Conservatory.  I have to say that I was a little nervous going into the wedding primarily because it was different than the weddings that we had done all year.  I should have never worried.  The weather, although a bit cold, was gorgeous and we were able to get some great outdoor shots.  Then it was off to the Gashof zur Gemutlichkeit for the reception.   We were serenaded by a wonderful accordian player throughout the reception and then Das Boot came out.  Ten of them to be exact!  It was so much fun and we were able to give Amie and Paul a lot of great memories of their day.  I even tried sauerkraut and I liked it!
