Meet my Godson!

I love photographing newborn infants and all their sweetness.  From their fingers, toes, eyes, yawns, and yes, sometimes their cries.  Brooks Patrick is special to me.  Not only is he CJ’s new brother but my Godson!  I’m so happy to be a part of his life in this special way and I’m looking forward to every moment of spoiling him rotten.  Here he is at 2 weeks old..

Such a proud Big Brother!

The Rice Family

Each time I get to photograph my nephew CJ, I get excited.  He is a wonderful model and plays it up in front of the camera each and every time.  I usually photograph him with food (he loves to bake) and this time was no different.  He had a lollipop but I decided to take it out of these photos.  He has endless energy so I let him run and his Dad, Jarod, threw him in the air.  I love him.  Take one look at that dimple and you’ll fall in love with him too!

The Kleve Family

Let me introduce you to one of the funniest, craziest and loving families I know.  My Uncle Rick and Aunt Marcia and their 8 children- Jenna, Mitchell, Spencer, Isaiah, Colby, Lacey, Logan and Andre.  Rick and Marcia have been foster parents ever since they married and have taken many babies into their home over the years.  Their last five children found their way to their home as newborns and have stayed ever since.  Rick and Marcia have generous hearts, playful spirits and an abundance of love.  There is never a dull moment in their household!  Which is why I am sharing so many photos of their family- you can see the playfullness in their smiles and laughter!  Not included in these photos is Mitchell, Spencer and Isaiah whose photos will be showcased next month.  Enjoy!

The Carlberg Family

Welcome to my new blog!  I am excited to share photos from this past fall and some of my more recent work.  In October I traveled to Mankato, MN to photograph my family.  Steve and Dana, my aunt and uncle +Godparents, said it had been a long time since they have had family shots.  I believe they said it had been over 20 years.  So updated photos were in order!  My favorites of the day were of just the two of them and those with their grandchildren.  We all had a great time and I walked away with great memories and a fantastic recipe for carmel rolls (which I’ve made a few times already!).

Heath, Jen, Mason, and Sidney

Last month I photographed the Rice Family.  Becca (from the previous blog) and Jen are sisters and are a lot of fun.  I love being around Jen because she is such a free spirit.  And Mason keeps me hopping!  He’s a fast mover so I decided to spend some time just following him around and capturing him in action.  These are some of my favorite shots as I think it captures his true nature.
