Peter and I are doing the wedding photography for Katie and Brian this coming July. Two weeks ago we had an engagement session and I couldn’t be happier. Katie and Brian just shine in the camera! I am so happy they choose us as their wedding photographer. I’m definitely looking forward to July!
Jenn and Justin came up all the way from Sergeant Bluff, IA last week for a day of video taping, photographing and fun. Jenn is my dear cousin and a wonderful woman. I never realized just how truly beautiful she is inside and out. Yes, I’ve always known how beautiful she is but she just shines for the camera! Justin is handsome and magnificent and I’m happy to have him as my new cousin-in-law this May 15th. I see many more fun times together in our future!
It is official- I am not a Blogger. However, the work hasn’t stopped and I’m excited to show what I’ve been doing! Over the next 1-2 weeks, expect a new blog every 48 hours. That is my commitment to you. Pinky swear! First off, I want to highlight 4 great couples that we will be photographing on their wedding day. At the end of May, I met with Shadia and Nick for their engagement photo session. We decided to meet in Alexandria where they will be getting married. The day was perfect- the weather, the couple and the geese! This was a fantastic session and after two hours I had to apologize because I just kept shooting! They are marrying in September and I am truly looking forward to their wedding. As you can see in these photos, they are incredibly fun and light up in front of the camera! Thank you Shadia and Nick!
The wedding season is underway! And what a great way to start the season too! While chatting with Katie and Andrew during their engagement session we found that we have similar interests in music and know some of the same people. Small world! Both Katie and Andrew were very relaxed and were willing to try a lot of different poses. Toward the end of the session Andrew found a four-leaf clover. It looks like luck and love are in the air!
A little over a week ago I photographed Noel and Nate who are having a destination wedding in Florida this April. Noel is the daughter of my friend Maryln. We were blessed with a cloudy day and the weather actually warmed up to 20 degrees (which is pretty good considering the weather we’ve been having this winter). We did a few shots indoors and then headed outside. Noel loves horses so we were able to capture some great photos with the horses as well. After about an hour and a few red noses we decided we were cold enough and headed back inside. I was so happy that they were willing to be outside for that long. It was a lot of fun!
